About me

 

Richard's sporting life began as a junior swimmer in 1965. He competed at county level and represented Northamptonshire on several occasions.

 

He was employed in the swimming pool and sports centre industry, progressing from lifeguard to centre manager. He changed career in 1983 and joined the Cambridgeshire Constabulary.

 

His sporting career resumed in the mid 1980’s when he became involved in triathlon. He has been a member of PACTRAC (www.pactrac.co.uk), the local triathlon club, since 1986.  He has completed two ironman distance events in 1990 and 1993. He still competes in local events.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Additional activities include surfing, quadrathlon (triathlon with an additional kayak section) and modern jive dancing. He can often be found at Sara White's Jive Nites (www.jivenites.co.uk).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In April 2007 Richard retired from the local police force and completed his training as a sports & remedial massage therapist.

 

He works from his home in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
